Great Loop: Montreal

Approaching our Marina in downtown  Montreal
We stayed at the Montreal Yacht Club
It is very close to downtown

Would you like to visit a slice of Europe in North America?   Montreal is the place to do so.  So charming!  Settled 380 years ago. Fought over by the French, English and Americans.  An early rival to New York for providing  access to the Great Lakes and the bounty of that region.  A true gem, and so close.  We immediately feel under its spell.

We had to transit 4 locks as we headed east on the St. Lawrence Seaway

Beth baked chocolate chip cookies for the lock attendants
This guaranteed excellent service!

Sunset at the marina
