Great Loop: Hastings

The Harbor in Hastings.
This is the marina on the west side.

We travelled with Pivot and Volare from Campbellford to Hastings
We are approaching Lock 15 at Healey Falls

Pivot and crew are exiting Lock 15 bound for Hastings

Immediately after exiting Lock 15, you enter locks 16 and 17.
This is a double lock.  You exit the first chamber directly into the second.

In this photo you see the tall door that constrains the waters of the second chamber

Pivot and Volare are getting situated in Lock 16

Above Healey Falls, the Trent River had many seasonal homes along the shore

This would be a fun spot to spend the summer.
Perfect location to watch the boat traffic go by...

But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

As soon as we exited Lock 18,  we tied up on the city wall in Hastings.
This is conveniently located next to a liquor store and restaurants!
We ate Maple/Bacon Meatloaf at McGillicafey's Pub and Eatery
Yummy!!
