Great Loop: Bobcaygeon

The Town of Bobcaygeon had a music on the green event during our visit.
We had excellent seats on our boat.

Bobcaygeon was a perfect location to hang out, relax and get caught up on boat projects.  We spent two nights here.  The first night there was an event on the green.  It was just in front of our boat, so we didn't even have to move to enjoy the festivities.  The next day there was a town wide sidewalk sale.  The biggest draw was Bigley's shoe store.  All shoes were 40% off!  Unfortunately, we had each just purchased shoes in Kingston.  With all the walking we have been doing, we each wore out the shoes with which we had started the trip.  They needed to be replaced.  I did purchase some crew socks to replace ones that were worn out.

We ate lunch at a good Mexican restaurant, had ice cream for dessert, and utilized the library's internet connection to check mail and publish some blog pages.  We were returned to the boat, I got caught up with several maintenance tasks.  So it was a productive day.

Just prior to Bobcaygeon we passed through Stoney Lake.  It is like a continuous L.L.Bean commercial.  The lake is populated with a plethora of tiny islands.  In this case, one island is completely occupied by a church.  People arrive by boat for services.

I was intrigued by the variety of island based lake houses
